Yes, yes, yes, we’ve all heard it before…”breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” (please imagine me saying this in a very nerdy voice). Let’s be honest…sometimes I don’t have time to sit down and eat breakfast, so I sure as heck don’t have time to go in and MAKE breakfast. Now that I’m on quite a few medications that have to be taken as soon as I get going in the morning and they require food to be taken with them, then I can’t escape breakfast. I needed an option! I have tried Jimmy Dean’s breakfast croissants, and they are pretty good. It just freaks me out when it doesn’t defrost properly and heat up evenly. I also tried Jimmy Dean’s Lite breakfast sandwich, and no. Just no. I could never get the egg to defrost, and it just freaked me out. I tried just removing the egg and eating the cheese and sausage on the croissant, but no. Just no. Couldn’t do it. I need something substantial in my stomach to take meds, and cereal doesn’t cut it. I don’t like oatmeal or yogurt. What I really like is a Starbucks breakfast sandwich, but I can’t spend $5 on a breakfast sandwich and another $5 on a coffee every morning. Okay, so that is what lead me to try the Eggo breakfast sandwich in sausage, egg and cheese. So good! Easy to heat up- straight from freezer, to microwave for only 1 minute, 15 seconds, and easy to eat. The bread has a little hint of sweetness, but it’s so good and under 300 calories. Okay. Sure, if you’re a health nut and only eat organic then it’s not the healthiest option, but it’s good and quick! Grab some from the freezer section next time you are in the grocery store and heat one up when you need a quick, yet substantial breakfast. Hope you find it helpful and delicious!
