When the dog bites…when the bee stings…when I’m feeling bad…I simply think of my favorite things (Millie b. Designs), and then I don’t feeeeeellllll sooooo bad! Please imagine Julie Andrews singing that and not me…it will be a much more enjoyable experience. And if you were born before 1995, I know you’re thinking, “Who is Julie Andrews?!”
So one of my sweet, sweet friends is Kari Brock (we used to cheer together for the Falcons), and she birthed an amazing little local success story. (She also recently birthed a sweet little boy who is precious beyond words!) After she got married, she decided to take a break from working, so she could go back to school and get an even fancier degree in occupational therapy. She decided to start crafting by stitching scarves to help supplement her income, and scarves turned to bracelets, earrings, necklaces, etc. Now, she has the cutest business called Millie b. Designs, and I absolutely love her stuff! She has amazing style, and I can’t tell you how many things of hers I own.
This is what is so great about accessories…you go from decent to fabulous with the magic of a necklace! This is an amazingly well kept secret, but now the cat is out of the bag! You go from cute to stylish with an arm party of bracelets. Your plain Jane ponytail turns chiche with some dangly earrings. Some people feel like an accessory is too complicated or too fussy, but I’m telling you that you will go from fine (as in, okay) to polished with simply adding an accessory or two. Millie b. Designs is where you need to go. The necklace I wore today is the Briana, and it’s adorable and easy to wear.
Here’s a piece of unsolicited advice…when it’s rainy and gross outside you should wear a dress or a skirt. Two reasons here: 1- your pants don’t get wet walking in the rain. 2- it’s gross out, so dress up so YOU don’t feel gross! Now, I realize that there might be someone in Michigan reading this thinking, “Dress? When it’s gross out? Yeah right, lady. Clearly you don’t live where I do.” Well, you are right, because I live somewhere where I can sit on my screened in porch 11 months of the year…and I live somewhere warm on purpose…because I want to wear dresses….and not hoodies. Regardless of where you live, you can still shop at Millie b. Designs because she ships anywhere! Check her out! Happy shopping!
